Last week ESPN 300 wide receiver Dominic Walker (Orlando, Fla./Evans) committed to Vanderbilt after naming the SEC program as his favorite in May. Over the weekend the 6-foot-2, 194-pound senior participated with Orlando Top Recruits at the IMG Madden Football 7-on-7 national championships and talked about why he chose the Commodores over Texas A&M and Florida State.
"I thought about committing to FSU when my teammates committed there in February," Walker said. "But I held off because I wanted to see a few more schools and Vanderbilt just really impressed me.
"Seeing where the program is heading and how the players respond to coach [James] Franklin really left a good impression on me and that's why I named them my favorite."
