It’s a good thing for Carver coach Billy Gresham that MLB Harding Harper decided to move from Birmingham, Ala., to Montgomery for his senior season. The three-star linebacker prospect produced a big senior season at Birmingham Carver and Harper isn’t finished yet, as Carver stands at 7-3 and in the Alabama state football playoffs.

“He has well over 110 tackles,” Gresham said. “I know he’s averaging over ten a game. He leads is in everything, tackles, sacks, tackles for a loss and interceptions. Everything we heard about Harding he has lived up to. He has been the bright spot for our defense. This kid plays with so much tenacity. He really gets after people. He’s relentless and just old school. Harding has a nose for the ball and is all over the field. His greatest asset is his ball instincts.”

Harper, 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, hopes to land in the SEC.
