Over the weekend, ESPN 150 running back Ryan Green (St. Petersburg, Fla./Saint Petersburg Catholic) took a trip to Auburn for its "Big Cat" weekend and came away impressed.
But Auburn did not do enough to land in Green's top three. No school has done enough to land in the 5-foot-9, 195-pound prospect's top three because he doesn't have one yet.
"There is no top three, no top five, nothing right now," said Green's father, Vader Green. "Ryan said that Auburn was one of the top three visits he's been on but that's all.
"We have too many schools to sort through to make that sort of deduction right now."
Vader Green said the recruiting plan for Ryan remains the same. He will cut his list to 10-12 schools in the upcoming weeks and then take unofficial visits over the summer. USC, Oregon, Notre Dame and Florida State are among the schools that will receive visits.
"He's going to cut the list to five schools early in the season and then take his officials," Vader Green added.
Green has offers from nearly every top program in the nation including Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Clemson, LSU, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. The Under Armour All-American is still planning his decision for national signing day.
