Jordan Howard (Gardendale, Ala.) is a 6-foot, 203-pounder who rushed the ball 200 times for 1,488 yards and 18 scores last season as a junior.
“I am a balanced running back that can do a little bit of everything,” Howard said. “I am hard to bring down. I have more power than shake and bake. I also have some pretty good hands.”
According to Howard, he has a scholarship offer from UAB, while teams like Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Auburn are all recruiting him.
“I have been to junior days at Auburn, MSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama,” Howard said. “I am going to Auburn’s spring and the Atlanta Nike Camp. I know I want to see Tennessee and I plan on going to one-day camps at Ole Miss and Mississippi State.”
Howard is hoping a good spring and summer will mean more scholarship offers for him. If so, he knows exactly what he’s looking for in a school.
“It will be all about the scheme and the player-coach relationship,” Howard said. “They also have to have academics and a good environment. Right now I am pretty open.”
