Ely (Pompano Beach, Fla.) defensive back Rashard Robinson has seen his efforts pay off in a short time.
A week after recording a blazing 4.31 time at the Elite Scouting Services combine, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound transfer from nearby Deerfield Beach received his first offer from Florida State.
"I really don't know what to say about it because it's pretty exciting," Robinson said. "There were a lot of programs talking to me but FSU stepped up and made the call.
"Coach [Eddie] Gran said he caught some video of me from the Elite [Scouting] combine and they felt good about me," Robinson said.
Robinson says several other programs remain interested including Miami, Clemson, Wisconsin and Florida International. FSU has invited him to their spring game.
"I'm going to try to get to the FSU spring game and see everything," Robinson added.
