Rashad Mathis (Valdosta, Ga./Valdwood), a two-way star and very good athlete from Georgia, plays wide receiver and safety.
“Rashad also plays a little quarterback for us,” Valwood coach Brannon Tidwell said. “But I see him more as a safety in college. He’s real rangy with long arms. He’s big for a safety, has very good ball skills and he will come up and strike you.”
According to Tidwell, Mathis has a scholarship offer from Louisville while several other teams are showing interest in varying degrees.
