Marcus Cox (Dacula, Ga.) is a versatile athlete from the Peach State. Some teams like him on offense, others like him on defense but the 5-foot-10, 183-pound recruit prefers the football in his hands. At Dacula he plays running back, receiver and returns punts and kicks.
“I may play some defense this season,” Cox said. “I will play corner or safety. But most schools like me as a running back or receiver. It doesn’t matter to me I just want to play as a freshman. I just like making plays. At running back I have good vision. I can think on the run. It comes naturally. I have good instincts. I am a playmaker.
“At receiver, I have the tools of a running back. I can catch and am very elusive with the ball. Most linebackers can’t cover me and I can get yards after the catch.”
