East Lake (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) wide receiver Artavis Scott received a verbal offer from Florida State, the first offer for the 5-foot-10, 165-pound sophomore.
Scott was one of the state's top receivers in 2011, hauling in 54 passes for 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns during the season.
"I'm very thankful for this being my first offer," Scott said. "It's the first step for me and FSU is a school that I'm very interested in."
