It was a big Friday for Georgia Military College offensive lineman Tre Carter, who picked up his first scholarship offer.
“I got my first one today from Akron,” Carter said. “I checked them out on the Internet. The facilities look cool and so are the coaches there. I definitely want to get up there and check them out.”
Carter, 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds, is originally from Marion County High School in Buena Vista, Ga. He wasn’t always that size. In fact, he was a lot smaller when he showed up in Milledgeville.
