Auburn landed its punter of the future on Tuesday with the commitment of Jimmy Hutchinson (Kennesaw, Ga./Harrison).
“I just love the atmosphere and tradition at Auburn,” Hutchinson said. “The coaching staff is very welcoming. I just think it’s a great place for me.”
Hutchinson, 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, averaged 41 yards per punt this past season with a net of 38 yards. Hutchinson’s former coach, David Hines, said the Tigers are getting a player who has worked very hard at his craft.
