Junior defensive tackle DeAndre Johnson (Newnan, Ga./Northgate) is not an unknown in the Peach State. In fact, he has offers from teams in the SEC and ACC and is expected to have plenty of more between now and the end of the May evaluation period.
“I have very good quickness off the ball and I have good footwork. I think I use my hands pretty well,” said the 6-foot-3, 311-pound tackle who is active int he middle. “I am trying to get faster. I want to get more speed.”
Johnson has been to a trio of junior days at South Carolina, Georgia and Georgia Tech. He said he has enjoyed them all and at this point he doesn’t have a school favorite.
