Belen Jesuit (Miami, Fla.) running back Imani Davis said he was waiting on an Akron offer and that once he received it he would probably commit.
Akron defensive backs coach Terrell Buckley handed Davis that offer Thursday, and the 5-foot-9, 180-pound prospect committed on the spot.
"Akron came to the school earlier this week to look at my teammate Alfonso Horner and they also mentioned they needed an athlete that could do a lot of different things," Davis said. "Once they saw my film they were interested."
