Pasco (Dade City, Fla.) quarterback Jacob Guy could leave the state and take a scholarship or stay in Florida and take his chances.
It's a tough decision to make and the 6-foot-4, 200-pound senior might wait until after signing day to figure it out.
"I have no real timetable right now," Guy said. "I might wait until after signing day and see what shakes down."
Guy threw for over 2,672 passing yards and 42 touchdowns as a senior and earned offers from Ohio, Western Michigan and UMass.
In recent weeks he's also earned interest from Florida and South Florida that could earn him a scholarship or preferred walk-on status with either program.
"Both USF and Florida have told me that I can come on campus as a preferred walk on and there might even be a scholarship opportunity at Florida," Guy said. "But several things have to happen first."
Guy's brother, Tyler Guy, plays for South Florida and that could be a hook for Guy to stay in the state.
"I would love to play with my brother," Guy added.
Guy said he isn't taking any visits this weekend and is fine with how the process is dragging out.
"I am just blessed to have the opportunity to suit up for any of these programs whether it be on scholarship or as a walk on," Guy said.
