Beau Hankins (Birmingham, Ala./Jackson-Olin) made his official visit this weekend to UCF and was impressed with the Knights, especially the campus and facilities.
"It was a really good time and a lot of fun," Hankins said. "That place seems so fresh. Everything seems brand new and clean. It's just a beautiful place. Coach (George) O'Leary is a winner and very down to earth. His staff is cool and some of these guys are new. But they seem to know what they are talking about. I really enjoyed myself there."
Hankins, a three-star linebacker prospect, already has visited Arkansas and Florida International. Next week it looks like he could possibly visit Georgia Tech.
"I am going to visit Wake Forest, Penn State or Georgia Tech," Hankins said. "Wake got a linebacker commitment today, so I have to see how that affects me. Joe Paterno just passed, and I think it would be in poor taste on my part to go visit there. He was an icon and people will be in mourning at Penn State. It's not my place to be there, so I will respect that situation. So more than likely I will visit Georgia Tech."
Hankins, 6-foot-1 and 230-pounds, is the nation's No. 55 ranked middle linebacker and the No. 64 rated recruit from the state of Alabama.
