Khalid Henderson (Austell, Ga./Pebblebrook) is a four-star linebacker prospect that was formerly committed to the University of Tennessee. But Henderson backed off his commitment last month and he since visited Central Florida (last weekend) and Ole Miss (this weekend).
“Ole Miss was nice,” Henderson said. “I mean, it was very good. I really like the atmosphere there. They are so family oriented. That was very nice. They have good academics and support. I really like the players and the new staff. Ole Miss is just so good all the way around.”
Henderson, 6-1 and 210-pounds, is scheduled to visit Kentucky (Jan. 27) this coming weekend. But a decision could be made before then.
“I am hoping to have a decision following the visits,” Henderson said. “It could be sooner. The Rebels gave me a lot to think about.”
Henderson is the No. 19-ranked outside linebacker prospect in the nation and the No. 17-ranked recruit from the state of Georgia.
