Defensive end Justin Thomason (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Christian Landing Academy) visited North Carolina this weekend and came away committed to the Tar Heels and new head coach Larry Fedora. There was much that he liked about UNC.
"I love the new coaching staff," said Thomason via text message. "I love what they bring to the table on defense. I love the campus and the fact of what it means to be a Tar Heel. Plus, they play in a great conference."
Thomas, 6-foot-3 and 235-pounds, is one of the top defensive end prospects from the Peach State. He committed to North Carolina over teams like Missouri, Louisville, N.C. State, Syracuse and others.
Thomason is the No. 126-ranked defensive end in the nation and the No. 100-ranked player in the state of Georgia.
