Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic class of 2013 defensive tackle Keith Bryant committed to Miami after visiting the program for a junior day event Sunday.
After participating in the Under Armour Combine, Bryant had suggested that Miami was aggressively recruiting him.
"They were really showing me a lot of love with a ton of letters leading up to me visiting today," Bryant said. "I felt like the coaching staff and the players were really buying it."
The 6-foot-2, 292 pound junior said that West Virginia has also been aggressively recruiting him in recent weeks. Bryant was a familiar face on the camp circuit in the spring and summer visiting Florida's Friday Night Lights and taking in two sessions at Florida State.
Although Bryant has all the makings of a prospect on the rise, he wanted to make an early commitment.
"It's young in my recruitment but Miami put it all out on the table for me and let me know that I was wanted," Bryant said. "Both Florida and Florida State saw me at their camps and they know who I am, but Miami was the school that reached out to me."
Bryant was also impressed with head coach Al Golden.
"Coach Golden is the right man for the program, and he's going to get this thing right," Bryant added. "He's full of energy and he's all about business. That's what I like."
Bryant provides a early lift for Miami as they look to rebuild an interior defensive line that could be quite thin in 2012.
"That's a big deal for me too because I know they are really in need of some big, athletic bodies on the defensive line," Bryant said. "I think I will be able to come in and compete early."
Bryant said that he is solid in his commitment but will likely take some official visits when the time comes.
