West Orange (Winter Garden, Fla.) linebacker Corey Vereen added his first in-state offer from South Florida.
"I received the offer from USF shortly after the Under Armour national combine," Vereen said. "It's definitely exciting because it's the first school in state to offer me.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound junior already had offers from Minnesota and Purdue. With interest from many of the major programs in the Southeast it's expected that many more offers will come in the next few months.
"I'm hearing from Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Georgia Tech and a few others," Vereen said. "USF is definitely going to be up there."
Vereen says that he will definitely plan on attending at least one event at USF during the offseason.
"I'd like to get there for their junior day or one of their showcases," Vereen said. "I think they might be looking at me as more of a pass rusher.
"Some schools like me rushing the passer and others are looking at me as a linebacker."
