Seffner (Fla.) Armwood center Cameron Dees committed to Marshall on Tuesday. The 6-1, 280-pounder chose the Thundering Herd over offers from Ohio, FIU, Delaware and Western Michigan.
Dees took an official visit to Marshall five weeks ago and he named the program as his leader after the visit. It was thought that Marshall would be competing with New Mexico but Dees eliminated the Lobos once Mike Locksley was fired.
Dees, a three-year starter, becomes the seventh member of Armwood's Class of 2012 to commit to an FBS program. He and Cody Waldrop (South Carolina) are two of the offensive line prospects committed. Teammate Kevin McCoy is expected to choose from Vanderbilt and UCF.
