Fresh off of leading a dominating effort by Norland (Miami, Fla.) in the Class 5A state championship game, four-star linebacker Keith Brown is down to the final few days of his recruitment.
"I'm going to make my final decision on January 7," Brown said. "I'm enrolling early so that's going to be it."
Brown has taken official visits to Purdue, Illinois, South Florida, Louisville and Clemson. He is currently considered a soft verbal to Illinois and was previously committed to Miami.
Now another school has jumped into the picture.
"Ohio State started recruiting me once Urban Meyer got the job," Brown said.
Brown says he is interested in Ohio State but he will have to see the campus on his own since he has used all five official visits.
"If I don't get a chance to see the campus I'll have to eliminate the school," Brown explained. "We are going to try to go."
Brown also suggested that he's uncertain about Miami due to the NCAA investigation into the program. Sanctions are expected and could be severe. Miami opted not to participate in a bowl this year.
"I have to have a good idea of what's going to happen before I could go there," Brown added.
