Four-star athlete William Likely III (Belle Glade, Fla./Glades Central) committed to Maryland on Friday, choosing the Terrapins over LSU and Florida State.
The 5-foot-7, 175-pound Likely was being recruited as a defensive back and is the 19th verbal commitment in Maryland’s class and the third prospect rated at four-stars.
Last week, Likely welcome Maryland head coach Randy Edsall and defensive coordinator Brian Stewart on an in-home visit that likely put the Terps over the top.
