Last month four-star offensive lineman Shawn Curtis (Orlando, Fla./Olympia) described his official visit to Iowa State as "amazing" and said the Cyclones would be "tough to beat."
Today Curtis’ words came to fruition as the 6-foot-6, 270-pound prospect committed to the Cyclones over Mississippi State, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Virginia.
Curtis took official visits to all five programs in a six-week span and it appears that all the programs were equal until his trip to Iowa State, his fourth official overall. It was there the Cyclones separated themselves from the pack.
