ESPN 150 wide receiver Jordan Cunningham (Davie, Fla./University School) will be taking advantage of his team’s bye week to take an official visit to Stanford.
The Cardinal have been considered one of the favorites for the 6-foot-2, 175-pound senior for several months.
“I will be heading to Stanford this weekend with my dad,” Cunningham said. “It’s an official visit for the Oregon State game.
"We’re going to get a good idea about the coaching staff and the campus. Also I’m going to be talking to several of the academic advisers to see how they help you balance academics and athletics.”
Cunningham says the academics at Stanford are what separates it from the other programs in his top five.
"Stanford gives me the opportunity to have the best of both worlds,” Cunningham added. “Their status as one of the world’s top learning institutions is something that can take you pretty far.”
Cunningham’s top five has a few adjustments as Ohio State has jumped in the picture and Notre Dame has moved out. Alabama, Oklahoma State and FSU remain in contention.
An official to Ohio State for Nov. 24 is likely although not confirmed yet according to Cunningham. He is thinking about a signing day decision.
