Multiple trips to LSU doesn't mean Frank Herron isn't going to look around.
"I haven't decided yet," the ESPN 300 defensive end said when asked if he would take official visits to other schools besides LSU.
There are plenty of suitors if Herron (Memphis, Tenn./Central), decides to venture off. He has seen consistent interest from Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arizona State even after he committed to the Tigers in June.
"I just tell them I'll keep in touch but I tell them that I'm still committed to LSU," he said about conversations with other recruiters.
Herron's recent visit to LSU should only help the Tigers. The nation's No. 291 prospect raved about the visit.
"I had a great, great time," Herron said.
There wasbarely a stone left unturned by Herron in Baton Rouge. He went to a basketball practice, hung out with players -- namely junior defensive end Sam Montgomery -- and even met movie producer Spike Lee, who was at the game.
"He wanted to go to the big game," Herron said. "I took a picture with him."
Of course, the highlight was a rowdy crowd in Tiger Stadium. It was impressive even though LSU lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Crimson Tide 21-17.
"It was crazy," Herron said. "It was loud. There were 95,000 people there. You couldn't hear yourself think. Every time somebody scored or made a great stop on defense, it was just crazy."
Herron is set to take an official visit to LSU before national signing day. With other official visits a possibility, that trip could go a long way toward determining his final college destination.
