Whoever Kentucky's next coach is, he'll have a big defensive tackle to build around.
Jacob Hyde (Manchester, Ky./Clay County), a 6-foot-2, 315-pound prospect, said he is still committed to the Wildcats despite coach Joker Phillips' firing on Sunday.
"It was a surprise," Hyde said of Phillips' dismissal after a 40-0 loss to Vanderbilt that dropped Kentucky to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the SEC. "It hurt to see him go. He and the coaching staff treated me like a [current Kentucky] player."
