Todd Kelly Jr. sees Duke as good combo

Todd Kelly Jr. is off to Duke this weekend.

The Watch List prospect from Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb has spoken highly of the Blue Devils, especially of the education the school can offer. Duke's 6-2 record doesn't hurt either.

"Great academic school and the football has gotten a lot better," the junior safety stated via text message to ESPN.

Duke is bowl eligible for the first time since 1994. The Kelly family should know at least one Blue Devil well. Kelly Jr.'s father, Todd Kelly, was a standout defensive end in the early 1990's when David Cutcliffe was an assistant coach. Cutcliffe is now the head coach at Duke.
