Vanderbilt got something besides candy on Halloween.
6-foot-2, 165-pound placekicker Tommy Openshaw (St. John's, Fla./Creekside) announced via social media that he was headed to play football for the Commodores in Nashville.
"Officially committed to play football at Vanderbilt University," he tweeted. "Anchor Down."
Openshaw's commitment gives Vanderbilt 22 commits for the Class of 2013. As expected, he is the lone kicker commitment for this group.
ESPN ranks Openshaw as a two-star prospect.
