Three-star running back Lorenzo Woodley (Miami, Fla./Christopher Columbus) is taking advantage of his bye week to take his first official visit of the season to Purdue.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior has had this trip planned since mid-September.
“Overall I’ve been focused on the season but I’m taking an opportunity to see Purdue this weekend,“ Woodley said. “I'm very excited to get to Purdue and see what the lifestyle and the city is like. I want to see how the people are for the game and the facilities and meeting the coaches to see what they are like.”
Woodley, who has rushed for 596 yards and 12 touchdowns this season according to the Miami Herald, has been relatively quiet during this recruiting season despite holding offers from more than a dozen programs. Woodley says Vanderbilt, Purdue and Pittsburgh are his three top programs right now.
“Purdue has been in contact the most and the other schools kind of come and go,” Woodley said. “Most of the schools recruiting me are focused on other things right now and that’s cool. I will probably kick things up more after the season.”
