2015 QB O'Connor talks Bama before visit

Michael O'Connor is willing to be patient with Alabama. Good thing. He has to be.

While other schools have offered the sophomore quarterback a scholarship -- most notably Michigan State, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt -- Crimson Tide recruiters are taking their time as they always do. It's long been coach Nick Saban's policy to only offer a scholarship to a prospect he and his staff have evaluated in person. O'Connor, who could be one of the top prospects in the 2015 class, is no different.

"They told me that all players they want to offer, they want to evaluate in person," the standout from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor on Friday just before a visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend. "They told me that they want me to send my film into them after my year is over and then get some one-on-one evaluation time in the spring."
