Duke's Class of 2014 has grown to nine with commitments from Chris Taylor (Coconut Creek, Fla./North Broward Prep) and Kerrion Moore (Gastonia, N.C./Davie County), multiple sources report.

Taylor, a 6-foot, 168-pound wide receiver, selected the Blue Devils over scholarship offers from Appalachian State, Eastern Michigan, Massachusetts, Ohio, Western Michigan and Yale. Auburn, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech showed interest.

Moore is a 5-foot-8, 180-pound running back who carried 128 times for 1,004 yards (7.8 average), caught 14 passes for 392 yards (28 average), made 33 tackles, intercepted four passes, and scored 18 total touchdowns as a junior.

Offensive lineman Zach Harmon (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) also recently committed. His decision was reported earlier Tuesday by ESPN's Jared Shanker.
Zach Harmon (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) landed his first BCS offer while visiting schools down south over the weekend. It took him a little more than 24 hours to go ahead and take it.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive guard committed to Duke, he told ESPN.com in a message Tuesday morning.

ATHENS, Ga. -- Viewers who tuned into last year’s SEC championship game were treated to an epic battle between Alabama and Georgia that was not decided until the last play of the game. It was the latest in a series of battles between schools that clash again and again on the recruiting trail, year after year. Both have targeted a sophomore defensive tackle from North Carolina. In fact, both programs offered Shy Tuttle (Lexington, N.C./North Davidson) on the same day.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Defensive end Derek Barnett (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) looked forward to a meeting this offseason with Drew Richmond (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School).

After all, Richmond’s team ended the season for Barnett last November with a one-point win the state-playoff semifinal round.

Barnett said he thought he earned a victory over Richmond on Sunday at the Nike Football Training Camp on the home turf of the coveted 2015 offensive tackle.

“I want to go up against the best,” Barnett said, “so I was like, ‘Come on, let’s battle.’ It went well. I got the best of him. He got me a few times, but I think I won that one.”

Jake Sanders (Carrollton, Ga./Carrollton), who had seen his recruitment pick up steam over the last few weeks, announced he had made a decision on Tuesday.

Mississippi State was the first program to offer the 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman last November, and they remained his sole scholarship option until late February, when Kansas State, UCF and Cal pulled the trigger and offered. Last week Cincinnati offered Sanders as well.

During a visit yesterday, Sanders received his sixth offer, and as it turns out, it was one he could not refuse.

Dominique Brown (Ocala, Fla./ Trinity Catholic) emerged over the summer circuit as a potentially big-time prospect.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback camped well just about everywhere he went, including Florida and Florida State.

But his momentum slowed a little during the fall, and only FIU and South Carolina offered. Monday might have got the ball rolling again when Middle Tennessee made it three.

Editor's note: Finding the Future is a RecruitingNation feature that will appear throughout camps and combine season, ranking prospects strictly on their on-field performance at the particular event. It does not reflect where each will land when the class is ranked by ESPN.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There might have been as many BCS conference-caliber recruits in the 2015 and 2016 classes present at the NFTC Sunday than there were in the 2014 class. It looks like the next couple of classes in the Carolinas will be stocked with top-tier talent, and a few of them stood out on Sunday in the rain.

ATHENS, Ga. -- For most high school players, the end of practice means they get a break from the incessant nagging and ceaseless instruction of their coaches. They go home, eat dinner, study and enjoy the respite until the whistles start blowing next time. For ESPN Watch List safety Quincy Wilson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School), that is not the case.

Wilson’s father is the defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach at the University School, so Wilson jokes that he gets no respite.

“Oh no, there’s no break, there’s no break,” Wilson said. “Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yeah, I get it at practice, before practice, after practice, in the car, at the dinner table ...”

The talented junior laughed about the nonstop instruction but he also credited his father with making him the player he is today -- one of the most coveted safeties in Florida.

For ESPN Watch List athlete Christian McCaffrey (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor Christian), there’s literally no such thing as an off day. Spring break is included.

ATLANTA -- While the Atlanta Nike Combine is a great platform for skill position prospects to make a name for themselves, the event also provides an opportunity for linemen to showcase their abilities as well. At the SPARQ Combine here last year, offensive tackle Christian Harris (Suwanee, Ga./Collins Hill) arrived and displayed an impressive frame for college coaches to work with.

This year, the 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect was able to improve his 40 time and vertical jump, despite the weather being less than optimal.

Leading up to Thursday night’s Florida Class AAA basketball championship between his Providence High School Stallions and the Coral Springs Christian Crusaders, the talented two-sport athlete has let his coach field all of his football recruiting calls. And there have been a lot of them.
