Coahoma Community College product Sylvester Townes has committed to sign with West Virginia, according to multiple reports.

Townes made an official visit to Morgantown, W.V. for the Sept. 13 weekend and watched the Mountaineers defeat Georgia State 41-7.

Florida International, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas Tech and Western Kentucky also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-6, 285-pound prospect.

Townes is West Virginia's 14th overall commitment and fourth junior-college pledge during this cycle.
