ESPN 300 wide receiver Markell Pack (Purvis, Miss./Purvis) flipped his commitment from Florida State to Ole Miss, according to the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger. Pack confirmed his decision in a text message.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete switched his pledge while on an official visit to Ole Miss. Pack is the No. 12 wide receiver in the country and the No. 92 player overall.

Pack also held offers from Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Mississippi State, among many others.

This comes as welcomed news for Ole Miss, as four-star offensive tackle Andy Bauer (St. Louis/De Smet Jesuit) recently flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Missouri.

The Rebels' 2014 class is currently ranked 15th. They have 23 verbal commitments, including three who are ranked in the ESPN 300. Pack is the third wide receiver to commit to Ole Miss.

Florida State, meanwhile, still has 24 commitments, including nine ranked in the ESPN 300.

Ole Miss' Laquon Treadwell, the No. 1-ranked wide receiver in the country in the 2013 class, enters Saturday's game with 53 receptions for 477 yards and five touchdowns for the Rebels as a freshman.
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss continues to capitalize on the momentum produced in February by a No. 5-rated signing class that turned heads in the Southeastern Conference and nationally.

The Rebels drew a crowd at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday estimated at 28,000 by the school for its final spring practice, the Grove Bowl, despite a scaled-down event that included minimal game-like activity after injuries hit hard in practice.

Perhaps no program in the country had more talent on campus for official visits this weekend than the staff at Ole Miss. The Rebels hosted more than 15 prospects, headlined by No. 1 prospect Robert Nkemdiche (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) but also including No. 5 prospect Laremy Tunsil (Lake City, Fla./Columbia) and a surprise in-state visitor.

Nkemdiche said he thinks Ole Miss is sitting pretty as signing day approaches.

Peyton Barber finds himself in a bit of a win-win situation.

While the Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star running back is perfectly content with being committed to Ole Miss, he’s still grateful for the opportunity to take official visits this month and ensure the choice he made in July was the right one.

Ole Miss fans have plenty to be happy about today as Hugh Freeze landed a commitment from No. 1 WR Laquon Treadwell, just 19 days before #SigningDay. The Rebels may have more to cheer about this Sunday if former OL Michael Oher can help guide the Baltimore Ravens to a win in the AFC Championship Game.

The subject of the movie The Blindside, Oher is the focus of today’s #ThrowbackThursday posts on our social media sites.

Historic is the best way to describe it.

Perhaps a top 25-class (at least for now) doesn't seem like much. But wait -- there could be more to come.

Imagine for a moment a middle-of-the-pack SEC West team nabbing the top receiver in the nation, as Ole Miss did with Laquon Treadwell of Crete (Ill.) Monee on Thursday. Imagine that same program potentially securing a commitment from the top prospect in the nation.
