LB Christian Lezzer commits to BC

The Eagles received their eighth pledge for 2014 Sunday in linebacker Christian Lezzer (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield), multiple sources report.

Lezzer announced his decision on Twitter:

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect selected Boston College over scholarship offers from Arizona, Bucknell, Kent State, Temple and Towson. Akron, Duke, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Rutgers also expressed interest. Additionally, Lezzer received congratulations from several of his future BC teammates, including the Eagles' top pledge, four-star running back Marcus Outlow (Norwich, Conn./Free Academy):


Lezzer is the second linebacker to pick Boston College for 2014, joining Kevin Cohee (West Roxbury, Mass./Roxbury Latin).

Tight end/defensive end Kevin Cohee (West Roxbury, Mass./Roxbury Latin) gave a verbal commitment to Boston College, he told ESPN Boston.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder is a resident of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and becomes the third in-state recruit to join Steve Addazio’s 2014 recruiting class.

“Once they gave me the offer, I was learning toward to committing,” Cohee said Sunday night. “I didn’t want to commit right away, and I wanted to be sure about it, but it’s been a dream of mine. I grew up going to football games [at BC] and it’s been like a second home to me.”
