On The Trail: Keith Bryant
Keith Bryant's (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community) recruitment is finally over. After being committed to Miami for some time during this cycle, it turns out he's staying in the same state, but not with the Hurricanes.
Florida State and defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins won out in the end as Bryant chose the Seminoles over Miami, South Carolina and Southern Cal. The four-star prospect is ranked by ESPN as the No. 135 player in the country for the Class of 2013.
What is the impact of Bryant's decision?

Who is leaving: Florida State is losing three top-flight defensive ends to the NFL draft this season, led by draft-eligible junior Bjoern Werner. Senior Tank Carradine's stock would have been much higher if not for a late knee injury in the regular season finale against Florida. Brandon Jenkins, who was lost for most of the 2012 season because of a foot injury, will also be heading to the pros.
The offensive line only loses one player, junior Menelik Watson, but it is a big one. He's likely to go in the first couple of rounds and had a major impact for Florida State in just one season.
Xavier Rhodes is the lone corner departing, but it's also a big one. Aside from Rhodes, the secondary will return largely intact.

ESPN 150 defensive tackle Keith Bryant (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community) told ESPN he received his latest offer — from Penn State — last week and grabbed another from Nebraska on Aug. 1.
Bryant, a Miami (Fla.) commit, said he's still looking around and will not decide on his official visits until late September. His top-5 includes Miami (Fla.), Florida State, Purdue, South Carolina and Oklahoma.
"Penn State said they were going to offer me since the spring when they saw me ripping it up," he said. "But, Nebraska, I was surprised about Nebraska because I didn't hear from them for a month."

The first day of the USC Rising Stars Camp is in the books and, as expected, there was plenty of elite talent on display.
The marquee group was the secondary with a pair of top safety recruits in USC verbal Su'a Cravens (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta) and Max Redfield (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo). Cravens posted a Twitter update (@CravenTDs_21) after the camp which said, “Sky patrol was on lock today at the SC camp! Me and Max Redfield was goin to work!”
Another player with a USC offer, cornerback Jalen Ramsey (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) made a return visit to the USC campus for the camp after having already taken an unofficial visit earlier this month. Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Tyler Foreman was also in attendance.
