The Early Offer is RecruitingNation's regular feature, giving you a daily dose of recruiting in the mornings. Today's offerings: Is there anybody hotter on the recruiting trail than Auburn after its success with junior-college recruits?; Arkansas needs talent at receiver, and the Hogs received good news when one of its former commits returned to the fold; Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy can’t wait to get a juco playmaker in the lineup.

Auburn scores big with juco recruits
The junior college midterm signing period opened on Wednesday and Auburn came away the big winners. Despite relentless pursuit by LSU, Auburn signed receiver D'haquille Williams, the nation’s No. 1 player out of Mississippi Gulf Coast College. The Tigers also announced the signings of his teammate, four-star linebacker/safety Derrick Moncrief, defensive tackle DaVonte Lambert (Milledgeville, Ga./Georgia Military College), and offensive lineman Xavier Dampeer from Wesson (Miss.) Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Lambert, the No. 6 player in the ESPN JC 50, flipped from Tennessee to Auburn and gave the Tigers three of the top 14 players in the country. The Tigers are poised to crack the top 10 of the ESPN Class Rankings with more than a month left before signing day.

The ESPN class rankings saw multiple changes this week. Ohio State had a great week, as did LSU and Arizona State.

Because of this, Texas has fallen to No. 12 in the latest rankings. Baylor remains at No. 16, and Oklahoma State remains at No. 23. Oklahoma slipped a spot to No. 25, and Texas Tech held its spot at No. 35. West Virginia remained in the top 40 at No. 37.

Here is a more in-depth look at the Big 12 class rankings:

Trending up: TCU is making positive moves, winning recruiting battles and flipping commitments. TCU won a battle against Texas in landing three-star junior college safety Kenny Iloka (Sugar Land, Texas/Tyler JC) on Tuesday. Three-star wide receiver Jared Cornelius (Shreveport, La./Evangel Christian) decommitted from Arkansas to pick the Horned Frogs last Friday, and athlete Ty Summers (San Antonio/Reagan) decided against going to Rice in favor of TCU. The acquisitions of new co-offensive coordinators Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie should help recruiting, primarily on the offensive side of the ball.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- With the spring/summer camp season winding down and August camp almost ready to start, here are 10 things we learned about LSU recruiting this summer.

Taking it slow

There was much optimism that with Louisiana enjoying arguably its strongest, deepest recruiting class since recruiting services started evaluating classes, LSU might not only finish with the nation's best class, the Tigers might run away and hide with it. That hasn't been the case as Louisiana's top seven players, included top target Leonard Fournette (New Orleans/St. Augustine). Remain uncommitted. The good news? LSU has nine ESPN 300 commitments already.
