Offensive tackle James McHale (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) is on board with Temple, the Times-Tribune reports.

"It was a long process, but it was fun," he said. "I had a lot of schools come in and [was] interested, and I went to a bunch of camps. It was a pretty good experience getting recruited."

McHale added, "Now I have that behind me, and I don't have to worry about a recruiting trip. I can focus on this season. We are really excited about this season at Dunmore; we have a lot of guys back and we are pretty pumped."

The 6-foot-6, 289-pound blocker also holds scholarship offers from Buffalo, Florida Atlantic, Massachusetts and Syracuse. Boston College, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, West Virginia and Wisconsin showed interest.

Temple has 16 pledges for 2014.
James McHale (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) and Ohio State are about to get to know each other very well.

James McHale may still be waiting on that first offer, but that doesn't mean the pace of his recruitment has slowed.

"Calm down, James," his coach told him.

The 2014 offensive tackle out of Dunmore (Pa.) couldn't help it. He was told shortly before that practice that Penn State's offensive line coach, Mac McWhorter, would be in the stands for Friday's game -- and McHale wanted to make sure he prepared himself as much as possible.
