NCF On The Trail: George Frazier

LB Frazier will wait to decide on Colorado

November, 27, 2012
Linebacker George Frazier (Monrovia, Calif./Monrovia) has seen plenty of playoff success during his high school career. The only time he's been on the losing end of a playoff game came in the championship game of his freshman season, a 12-7 defeat to San Dimas (Calif.). After capturing CIF championships in his sophomore and junior seasons, Frazier and the Wildcats are poised for a three-peat thanks to a 9-game winning streak.

This season, Frazier has tallied 62 tackles and 2.5 sacks defensively. On the offensive side, he has rushed eight times for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and caught seven passes for 137 yards and another score.

While it has been smooth sailing on the field for Frazier and his team, thing got a little rocky this past weekend, as Colorado head coach Jon Embree was fired. Frazier, a Buffaloes verbal commitment, said he is doing everything he can to concentrate on his final high school game before beginning to deal with recruiting.
Three-star athlete George Frazier (Monrovia, Calif.) has committed to sign with Colorado, multiple sources report. He's expected to play linebacker or defensive end for the Buffs according to the Daily Camera.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Frazier selected Colorado over scholarship offers from San Jose State and Washington State. California, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington were among the other programs showing interest.

Frazier registered 84 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions during his junior campaign.

Colorado has 11 pledges for 2013, including four in the past seven days.
