Nationally (and SEC)
The Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2014 class fill just about every need on the board, and that includes linebacker. With designs on addressing pass rushing and the ability to play in space on the edge at outside 'backer in Nick Saban’s 3-4 scheme, Alabama signed the Nos. 1 and No. 2 outside linebackers in the country in No. 48 overall Christian Miller (Columbia, S.C./Spring Valley) and No. 52 overall Rashaan Evans (Auburn, Ala./Auburn), who is pound for pound of the best pure athletes in the 2014 cycle. The Crimson Tide added two more talented linebackers in ESPN 300’s No. 102 Shaun Dion Hamilton (Montgomery, Ala./Carver) and No. 281 Keith Holcombe (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Hillcrest). Hamilton is an MLB.

The Crimson Tide had the nation’s best linebacker class; here’s which schools had the best in each of the remaining power conferences:

It was a very busy weekend in the Pac-12, as several programs picked up recruits during the various All-American games across the country.

Biggest commitment: Five conference teams added commitments since last Thursday, and all will likely play a big role in shaping classes on signing day.

Arizona got an early start on the weekend, as the Wildcats grabbed two huge commitments this past Thursday with ESPN 300 cornerback Jalen Tabor (Washington, D.C./Friendship Collegiate Academy) -- the No. 15 overall prospect in the nation -- and former USC commit and ESPN 300 offensive tackle Jordan Poland (La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla Country Day).

Arizona State landed a commitment from two-way lineman Kammy Delp (Pomona, Calif./Diamond Ranch) during the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl on Sunday. Delp will still visit other programs, but if he sticks with Arizona State, he'll provide a boost at defensive tackle.

Oklahoma did what many thought couldn’t be done -- it shocked two-time defending BCS champion Alabama and ended its 2013 season with a 45-31 victory in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The Sooners, a two-touchdown underdog entering the game, finished the year with an 11-2 record and left the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with one of the biggest wins in the program’s history.

Recruiting season has now hit Norman, and the Sooners hope to build off this win to find stars in the 2014 class. There are a couple of voids to fill from this year’s squad.

Recruits watching Arizona State at UCLA

The Pac-12 South title is on the line at the Rose Bowl this weekend as Arizona State travels to UCLA. With USC out of town, the Bruins have the city to themselves for recruiting purposes on Saturday and will welcome in several official visitors, including some standout unofficial visitors from the 2014 and 2015 classes. With both programs looking to fill and solidify impressive recruiting classes this year, this will be a significant opportunity to make an on-field statement. While dozens of recruits will likely be in attendance or watching on television, here are 10 who will be paying close attention to the game.

OT Chris Brown (Los Angeles/Loyola): The four-star offensive tackle has come on strong during his senior season and will be taking an official visit to UCLA, his third official after trips to Texas A&M and Oregon. Brown also holds an offer from USC and his recruitment could come down to the two local programs. It's an interesting situation for Brown. The Trojans' 2014 class already has four offensive linemen in it, while the Bruins have six true freshmen linemen that came in with the 2013 class. He'll get a good look at several of those this weekend as UCLA continues to showcase its true freshmen, which has been scoring big with the 2014 class.

Weekend recruiting wrap: Pac-12

There was plenty of news made in the desert this weekend, as Arizona landed two commitments and Arizona State had a number of visitors on hand. A number of standout performances by Pac-12 targets and positive statements made in losses are also highlighted in this week's recruiting wrap.

Biggest commitment: A nod goes to USC, which landed a commitment from three-star defensive end Olajuwon Tucker (Gardena, Calif./Serra) on Friday night, but focus quickly shifted to Arizona over the weekend, as the Wildcats landed two commitments. Wide receiver Kaelin Deboskie (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic) gives the Wildcats another dynamic offensive skill player and a local talent, as he joines teammate and ESPN 300 prospect Cameron Denson in Arizona's class. The Wildcats also grabbed a commitment from offensive tackle Levi Walton (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida Baker), who announced via Twitter that he gave a verbal to Arizona while on an official visit. Arizona now holds 26 verbal commitments in the 2014 class and will continue to recruits its top targets -- including offensive lineman Layth Friekh (Peoria, Ariz./Centennial), who was on an official visit this past weekend -- as academics and late defections have a way of shaping recruiting classes as coaches close in on the right number of signatures.

Best performance by a commit/target: Normally, 123 yards rushing and two touchdowns won't get noticed, but in the case of ESPN 300 safety Bishard Baker (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue), those numbers came on just three carries and despite a few nagging injuries.

GARDENA, Calif. -- Five-star athlete Adoree’ Jackson makes perennial Southern California powerhouse Gardena (Calif.) Serra go with his speed, explosiveness and flair.

Four-star linebacker Dwight Williams brings personality, Boise State quarterback commit Jalen Greene brings confidence and 2015 standouts Rasheem Green and John Houston Jr. bring promise.

Somewhere in between those highly touted recruits stand receiver Jordan Lasley and defensive end Olajuwon Tucker. They might not be big names yet, but they bring just as much impact to Serra.
