Last week, Class of 2014 quarterback David Morrison (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) received his first scholarship offer from Ball State. Thursday, he committed to the Cardinals, according to the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel.

"I did not want to be anywhere else," he said to the newspaper. "I was really impressed with the coaching staff and I just fell in love with them. The offense is a perfect fit;, they like to throw the ball around a lot."

Despite interest from Bowling Green, Indiana, Miami (Ohio), Purdue and Toledo, Morrison has ended the recruiting process, "I am settled with Ball State," he said.

He is Ball State's second 2014 pledge, joining athlete Darian Green (Lafayette, Ind./Jefferson).

Darian Green has become the Ball State Cardinals' first verbal during this recruiting cycle, according to the Journal and Courier. He visited Ball State last summer for a camp and took in the game against Ohio State during the fall.

"When I came there, they treated me like I was at home; they treated me like I was already part of the team," Green said. "All of the coaches came and talked to me. The campus was quiet and nice. It's not too big and not too small. It fits me."

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound high school running back, who could play other positions at the next level, also received interest from Indiana, Iowa, Northern Illinois and Purdue.

Last season, Green earned area offensive player of the year recognition after rushing for 1,394 yards and 14 touchdowns.
