Big name visitors set to invade Ohio State
By Brad Bournival
Urban Meyer doesn’t miss an opportunity to impress.
The two-time national champion did it last year when Nebraska played Ohio State in The Horseshoe under the lights and he’s not missing the opportunity this year.
Here’s a look at some of the bigger names scheduled to make the trek to the banks of the Olentangy River for the Buckeyes-Badgers game Saturday evening.
WR Johnnie Dixon (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Dwyer) -- The ESPN 300 wide receiver has gone on official visits to North Carolina State and Arkansas and will visit Alabama Oct. 8.
TE Mike Gesicki (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) -- He’s visited Wisconsin and Penn State recently and will be in Columbus this weekend. After an official visit to the Nittany Lions on Oct. 12, the three-star standout is expected to make a decision.
TE DeAndre Goolsby (Derby, Kan./Derby) -- The three-star tight end has taken official visits to Oklahoma and Florida already. Arkansas looks like the team to beat.
OG Demetrius Knox (All Saints Episcopal) -- The ESPN 300 senior is committed to Ohio State.
WR Travis Rudolph (West Palm Beach, Fla./Cardinal Newman) -- Florida State looks like the one to beat here. The ESPN 300 wide receiver has an official visit to Tennessee lined up next week.
ATH John Smith (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Polytechnic) -- “JuJu” has official visits to Notre Dame (Oct. 18), Oregon (Oct. 25), Alabama (Nov.8) and Michigan (Nov. 29). This won’t be the only time the Buckeyes see the ESPN 300 standout.
