Offensive tackle Michael Deiter (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa), a three-star recruit, committed to the Badgers, he told ESPN.com in a text message.
“I chose UW because I’m comfortable with the coaches,” Deiter wrote. “I like the football tradition and O-line tradition. And UW feels like home to me.”
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound recruit and top-40 tackle nationally fits the mold of the bigger brand of offensive linemen the Badgers tend to pursue. Wisconsin wants to run the ball as much as possible and looks for offensive linemen like Deiter to pave the way for its running backs.
Deiter joins ESPN 300 lineman Jaden Gault and three-star guard George Panos as offensive line commitments in the Wisconsin class.
