“Spring has been very enjoyable for me and I am blessed with all of the opportunities that I have," Martinez said. "Wake Forest, Louisville, Notre Dame and Georgia are the most recent schools to offer me."
Martinez admits he was surprised by one of those offers.
“The Notre Dame offer caught me off guard," he said. "Because that is a school known for its academics and football, so having an offer from them is really nice."
Martinez plans to visit Georgia and his childhood favorite team, FSU, on April 1.
“FSU was the school I rooted for as a child," he said, "although that is not going to affect where I decide, and Georgia is a school with great tradition, academics and atmosphere.”
Martinez plays tackle at Tampa Catholic, but he said colleges are recruiting him for different positions along the offensive line.
"Schools say they want me to play all over the offensive line," he said, "and I tell them I will play whatever fits best for them."
Martinez plans to take all five official visits before making a decision on signing day in February 2014.
