Scott interested in Penn State, MSU
By Brad Bournival
saw his recruitment pick up in January.
After posting the fourth-best rating at the SPARQ Combine in Massillon, Ohio on Saturday, it should blow through the roof.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back from Marion (Ohio) Harding posted a 110.82, leaving many others in his dust.
With Kent State and Indiana already offering, Bowling Green, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue and West Virginia came in to visit him all in one week.
“Things are looking pretty good,” Scott said. “Things are starting to pick up. I think they’ll pick up more after today.”
Scott, who scored six touchdowns and rushed for 357 yards in a game last season, is especially fond of interest from Penn State and Michigan State.
Here’s what he had to say about both schools:
: “(Assistant coach) Charlie Fisher is a real honest guy. He lets me know where I stand in their recruiting process. I think an offer should come soon after things settle down.”
“Mike Tressel recruits me. He said they’re real thin at the true running back position. All the coaches are impressed, he said don’t expect for them not to extend an offer.”
