Watch List WR Rudolph talks Gators visit
By Derek Tyson
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- ESPN Watch List wide receiver Travis Rudolph (West Palm Beach, Fla./Cardinal Newman) has been committed to Miami since last June, but he visited Florida for its junior day on Saturday.
The 6-foot, 177-pound athlete said the Gators are now on top.
"Well to be honest with you, Florida is at the top of the mountain right now," Rudolph said. "They are above Miami right now because of their consistency. They gained my trust today."
While on his visit, Rudolph had a chance to talk with Florida head coach Will Muschamp and wide receivers coach Joker Phillips.
"The visit was great," Rudolph said. "I loved it. I talked to Coach Phillips and Coach Muschamp and like the facilities and everything -- the staff, they gained my trust. I just love Florida right now."
Rudolph claims he is still committed to Miami and will not take any other junior day visits.
"Yes, I'm still committed to Miami, you could say that," he said. "I'm probably not going to any more junior days. I'm just focused on my ACT and polishing up my academics. I'll probably go to the [Gators'] Friday Night Lights camp in the summer."
