Scouts: Wilkins joins Rebels' RB haul
By Billy Tucker
This class is shaping up to be one of the best in school history and continues to add ESPN 300 talent down the stretch. The latest, running back Jordan Wilkins (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict), continues to stack the position as he is the fifth commit and third in the top-25.
The Tennessee native has arguably the best load-back and every-down potential out of the plethora of backs pledged to the Rebels in this terrific class. Wilkins has 200-pound plus size with a good combination of strength and speed and a decisive downhill running style that translate well to the college level. Wilkins does not project to be a homerun threat in the SEC but he has some wiggle to his frame and can be shifty through traffic for a taller back and get through smaller seams. His upside is as a power runner though as we feel his frame should continue to fill out and assist his already good balance and yards after contact production.
Ole Miss had a need here at running back and they are certainly filling it with this class that is inching closer to the top-10.
