Ian Seau changes commitment

By RecruitingNation

Hybrid outside linebacker/defensive end Ian Seau (Carlsbad, Calif./Grossmont College), a nephew of the late NFL star Junior Seau, has given his pledge to Nevada, multiple sources report.

Ian Seau originally signed with Kansas State in 2011 as a four-star prospect out of La Costa Canyon High School (Carlsbad, Calif.) before heading to junior college.  During the 2013 recruiting cycle, he initially committed to San Diego State in December before making the switch to Nevada.

Following junior college film evaluation, ESPN described Seau as "a disruptive edge player who utilizes his quickness and desire to make a play. He is a 3-4 scheme outside linebacker with the ability to put his hand down in a three-point stance or rush from a two-point stance ... will be a situational pass rusher early."

Seau, who also holds an offer from Pittsburgh, earned junior college All-America and conference defensive player of the year recognition for his performance this fall. when he recorded 19 sacks.  He's ranked No. 81 in the ESPN JC 100 and considered a three-star talent.
