Wazzu strikes again in Texas

Defensive back Montrel Meander (Amarillo, Texas/Palo Duro) committed Sunday to play in the Pac-12 for Washington State, multiple sources report. He was in Pullman, Wash. this weekend for an official visit.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior also took official visits to Texas-San Antonio (Nov. 9), San Diego State (Dec. 1) and Colorado State (Dec. 8). Colorado, Houston, Navy, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas State, Texas Tech and Tulsa were his other scholarship offers.
Meander, the fourth Texas prep to select Washington State for 2013, will be evaluated soon by ESPN.
