Waffling UW pledge to meet with Andersen
By Jared Shanker
Gary Andersen has done a fine job keeping almost all of Wisconsin's commitments on board, and he will have an opportunity to firm up the class even more Sunday.
Three-star Marcus Ball (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) said he has an in-home visit with the new Badgers coach on Sunday. Ball, who committed in November, remains committed but is taking other visits.
Ball officially visited Arizona State the weekend of Jan. 11, and he was supposed to visit Tennessee this weekend. However, a basketball game Saturday evening caused him to cancel it.
"I was gonna go up [Saturday] but I have a game so I don't think I'm going this weekend," he said. "I'll go next weekend."
Arizona State, which has an in-home visit Monday, Tennessee and Wisconsin are Ball's final three.
Ball, No. 27 in Ohio and No. 67 among athletes nationally, has an older brother Ray who is a redshirt freshman at Wisconsin. Tennessee offered shortly after Butch Jones took over as coach.
