Owls win battle for WR Temi Alaka

The Owls picked up a commitment this weekend from senior pass-catcher Temi Alaka (Houston/Cyrpress Falls), according to multiple sources.
Alaka, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect, selected Rice over scholarship offers from Air Force Colorado State, Iowa State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Purdue, Texas State and Yale. Other programs including New Mexico and Utah showed interest.
He is commitment No. 13 for the Owls.
