Three-star DT Finesse Middleton flips to Cardinals
Three-star defensive tackle Finesse' Middleton (Gadsden, Ala./Gadsden) has decommitted from Ole Miss in favor of Louisville, multiple sources report.
Middleton, who was recruited by Cardinals associate head coach and defensive line coach Clint Hurtt, took an official visit to Louisville over the weekend.
Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, Tulane and UAB also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 253-pound senior. Clemson and Mississippi State also showed interest, among others.
ESPN describes Middleton as, "a good player, but lacks ideal size and is a bit of a 'tweener. If he can add more good mass to his frame he could develop into a productive D-Tackle, but more likely will be a nice swing/wave player at the college level."
Louisville now has 10 verbals for 2013. Middleton is the Cardinals' first pledge since August.
